These individual bands are made of silicone rubber and have individual text/numbers printed on with silicone ink which stretches along with the band whilst being fitted onto the birds flipper.

They are currently available in several sizes which has been tested for both African and Humboldt penguins in both chlorinated and unchlorinated water. Similar bands have been used in saltwater systems in the past and have proven durable.
